‘Sresta to participate in Biofach 2007, Germany’

‘Sresta Natural Bioproducts Pvt. Ltd., which retails Organic products through its exclusive chain of stores under the brand name ’24 Letter Mantra’ is participating in Biofach 2007, at Nuremberg , Germany from February 15 – 18.

BioFach, the World Organic Trade Fair, brings together approximately 2,100 exhibitors - two thirds from abroad - and more than 37,000 trade visitors from over 110 countries of the world to Nuremberg every year in February.

This is a prestigious event and provides Sresta an opportunity to display its range in the international market.’

Sresta Natural Bioproducts has participated in India Organic 2006, held at Palace Grounds, Bangalore between 9th and 12th November, 2006.

The expo attracted many organic enthusiasts from all over the country.

Sresta’s stall was visited by former Prime Minister, respected Sri. Deve Gowda.

December 10, 2006: Recognising the efforts of Sresta Natural Bioproducts Pvt. Ltd  in the organic movement, and for continuously supporting the Cotton farmers in the state of  Maharashtra, the local administration comprising of the hounourable District Collector, MLA, agriculture officials and local NGO have arranged a felicitation programme. The felicitation took place on December 10, 2006, at Murtizapur, Akola District, Maharashtra. Mr. Eknath Dhawle, District Collector, Akola, Mr. Tukaram Birkad, MLA, Murtizapur and President, Vidharbha Vaignanic Mahamandal, Mr. J P Mahalle, Director of Agriculture, Maharashtra State Government, and Mr. Balakrishna Khatalkar, Director, KVS, Jamthi (An NGO), Murtizapur were present on the day and were quite impressed with the work done by Sresta.

The project involves cultivation of cotton, pulses and oilseeds. About 2000 acres are under Organic production. Sresta has taken up the project three years back, and the operations are quite successful.

The first phase of procurement of cotton has been completed. The team comprises of Mr. Damodar, Mr. Deshmukh, Mr. Prasad from Sresta Natural Bioproducts and a local partner NGO staff (KVS). The services extended by the team were improving productivity, ensuring prompt payment and attainment of good price for cotton.
